At a time when society as a whole is recognizing the importance of inclusivity and representation, technology is embracing diversity by introducing more inclusive content. Meta’s customizable Quest avatars are leading the trend toward creating content that people from all walks of life can identify with. The newly released selection enables users to search for an avatar according to their gender identity, size preference, or skin tone. With over 150 diverse body shapes and hairstyles available, this new update makes it easier than ever before for meta users to find an avatar that accurately reflects who they are. Furthermore, by giving players access to different kinds of customization options depending on their preferences and tastes, Meta is taking remarkable strides towards making virtual reality a lot more accessible!

Meta’s latest software update, v57, for its Quest headsets includes exciting improvements to personalize your avatar. Now, when choosing your hair and eyebrow color, you have even more control with a slider to adjust the depth and achieve the perfect shade. This means you can accurately match your avatar’s skin tone and even customize makeup and face paint to your preferences.

But that’s not all. Update v57 also brings the ability to unsend image messages in both virtual reality and the Meta Quest mobile app. Simply hover over the image in VR or click on it in the app, and you’ll find the option to “Unsend a message.” It’s a transparent feature that notifies both parties when a message has been removed. Currently, this capability is available in Australia, Canada, Iceland, New Zealand, South Korea, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the US.

Additionally, Meta is transforming the Explore feed into the “Horizon Feed” for a fresh and tailored experience when you log into VR. It still displays content based on your interests, ensuring age-appropriate content is shown. Lastly, update v57 introduces free-form locomotion, allowing you to teleport throughout your Home space with more freedom. While you can’t pass through walls or furniture, you can now explore your environment more freely.

Discover the exciting new possibilities with Meta’s latest update, v57, for the Quest headsets. Personalize your avatar like never before, unsend image messages, enjoy a revamped Horizon Feed, and experience free-form locomotion. Start exploring today!
